This is where the best part of the job I chose comes in. The job at Epic gives some amazing benefits, the best of which is them covering 100% of the premiums
for several types of insurances.
The insurances included are:
- Health insurance
- Dental insurance
- Vision insurance
- Long term disability insurance
- Life insurance
Having this benefit means the only insurances I have to pay for are renter's insurance and car insurance. The health, dental, and vision
insurances are especially helpful because I have yearly/bi-yearly appointments for each of them. The disability and life insurances are
not as useful for me as I don't have any dependents and my job is not dangerous, but if I get the premiums 100% paid then I think it's
worth it to just have.
Many financial planners will say that insurance is the most important thing you can buy to ensure a financially secure future. I agree,
though I don't believe we should have to pay for many of the things that we have insured, but it's the United States and we aren't changing
any time soon, so I better get on board.
